Special Down Payment Assistance Grant

 

 

Huntington National Bank and Homes on the Hill have worked together to receive Federal Home Loan Bank grant funds under the American Dream Homeownership Challenge. 

 

  • Program designed to fulfill the needs of our Hispanic, African American or persons with disabilities community members

  • Borrowers must complete homebuyer's education course and receive a certificate from Homes on the Hill

  • All properties located within Franklin County qualify

  • Eligible borrowers may receive grant funds in the amount of 10% of the contract sales price up to a maximum of $9,000 to be applied to down payment and closing costs

  • Approved borrowers will qualify for Huntington’s Community Access Mortgage product at a reduced interest rate

  • Borrower must contribute $500 of their own funds (Remaining funds can come from gift, grant, unsecured loan, seller contribution up to 6% or a community second mortgage)
